Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Portugal on iOS Q3 2025: Performance Insights

In the third quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Portugal showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. The following insights are based on data provided by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating mildly. Starting at approximately 8.9K downloads in early July, the numbers decreased to around 4.7K by the end of September. Active users started at roughly 598K, peaking mid-quarter at 700K before settling around 585K.

Google Maps experienced a steady download decline, beginning the quarter at about 7.3K and ending at 4.7K. Revenue saw minor fluctuations, with a peak at $140 in late August. Active users remained stable, hovering around 900K throughout the quarter.

Via Verde showed a varied download trend, starting at 5.1K and dipping to 3.1K before a slight rise to 3.5K. Active users increased from 66K to 71K, indicating a growing user base despite the download volatility.

Google Earth had a stable download pattern, with numbers ranging from 1.5K to 1.8K. Active users showed a decrease from approximately 28K to 22K, reflecting a drop in engagement over the quarter.

NDrive GPS Portugal Navigation saw a significant spike in downloads in mid-August at 7.6K, a notable increase from the usual hundreds. Revenue also fluctuated, peaking at $203 in early August, demonstrating a surge in user interest and monetization.
